Terms and Conditions for Fetching Dog Grooming.  

Effective Date upon signing the new customer from . These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Fetching Dog Grooming for mobile dog grooming. By booking an appointment with us, you ("Client," ) agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Services Offered

We provide mobile dog grooming services, including but not limited to: Bathing, Haircuts, Nail trimming, Ear Cleaning, Teeth cleaning, De-Shedding, De-matting, Flea Treatments Fleas: If fleas are found during your dog’s groom this will incur an additional charge of $25. This additional charge will cover a flea shampoo for your dog that will kill any fleas present, If the flea infestation is bad, then there will be an extra $50 fee as the trailer will need to be flea bombed and given a full clean out and no more dogs can be groomed that day.

Appointment Booking

Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or our website. A confirmation will be sent to you via your chosen contact method after booking. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that poses a safety risk to our staff or other clients.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of $50.  If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your new request.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services. We accept cash or direct debit.  Prices are subject to change based on the condition of the pet, additional services requested, or other factors. Clients will be informed of any changes before services are rendered.

Health and Safety & Emergencies 

In the event of an emergency, I authorize this establishment to immediately seek professional veterinary attention for my pet (at my expense). I understand that all attempts to notify me will be made in the event of an emergency. I understand that grooming can be stressful to some pets, I will inform the groomer if my pet has any heart conditions or any stress related issues prior to grooming. Clients must inform us of any known allergies, medical conditions, or behavioural issues related to the pet prior to grooming.

Coat Condition

 I understand that my groomer puts my pet's comfort above all else. In the event that my pet's coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful de-matting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn or cuts/knicks to occur. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme matt conditions, it is unavoidable. I acknowledge that the removal of mats may showcase underlying issues that were previously hidden like hot spots, ear infections, fungal and bacterial infections, and severe itching. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom so there may be an additional fee added onto the regular grooming price if my pet's coat is matted. Please note, shaving matted areas can cause Haematomas, redness, clipper rash and can uncover scabs and warts that if caught may bleed. Once matts are removed from the dog the blood will start to flow again properly under the skin and the skin will feel loose so you may notice your dog feels/acts different for the first couple of days after grooming, this is normal but if you are concerned at all feel free to call me or consult a vet

Pets must be current on vaccinations. We reserve the right to refuse service if we suspect any health issues or if the pet is not up to date with vaccinations.

Liability Waiver

While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, Fetching Dog Grooming is not liable for any injury, illness, or loss that may occur during grooming services. Clients agree to indemnify and hold Fetching Dog Grooming harmless from any claims arising from services provided.

Grooming Results

We strive to meet your expectations; however, grooming results may vary based on the pet's behaviour, coat condition, and other factors. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide access to the pet and ensure a safe environment for grooming.  Clients must supervise the pet during the appointment and inform us of any concerns before the grooming begins.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with the applicable laws of that jurisdiction.
